Mu Ko Surin is an unspoiled group of islands. It is acting as a refuge for fishing boats during storms and hosting small community of sea gypsies.
Location
Ko Phra Thong, Amphoe Khuraburi, Phang-Nga
Direction
By car: Drive on the road No. 4 (Phetkasem Rd.) from Bangkok to Amphoe Khuraburi, which is about 720 km long, then turn to Khuraburi Port at milestone No. 721, about 6 km prior to Amphoe Khuraburi, see the entrance sign board of Mu Ko Surin National Park on the right-hand side from this intersection, then make a turn to the tourist service center which is located in the area of national park office
By bus: Take a bus from the new Southern Bus Terminal and take a motorcycle or rental car to the Khuraburi Port area, the location of Mu Ko Surin National Park Office.
Highlights
Ao Mae Yai: The largest bay that offers calm waters
Ao Luek: Dark green sea that offers splendid shallow corals as well as seaweeds, sea flowers, coral lines, and various species of fish
Ao Chak: the bay, situated to the north of Ko Surin Nuea and full of unspoiled coral reefs
Ao Tao: The bay, situated to the east of the island, home to numerous sea turtles and magnificent coral reefs
