This virgin tropical rainforest dotted by Limestone Mountains and rugged high cliffs was protected as a national park in 1980. These poised Limestone Mountains resemble to those in Guilin of China and hence known as the “Thailand’s Guilin”.
Location
From Surat Thani, located 1.3 km off of the Surat-Takua Pa Road at km 109 marker
Direction
By car: Take Highway No 401 to Takua Pa District (in Pang-nga ) with the total distance approximately 100 km
Highlights
Namtok Mae Yai and Namtok Sip Ed Chan (eleven-tiered waterfall): magnificent waterfalls and caves, situated approximately 4 kilometers from the park office, which are mostly accessible by foot.
Khao Sok: enthralled visiting for bird lovers as there are over 180 bird species to watch as well as other rare wildlife, such as wild elephants, leopards, serow, banteng, gaur, dusky langurs, tigers and Malayan sun bears.

Other Info
The park is at its best from December to April.
The park and other entrepreneurs provide bungalows, camping area and raft-houses while accommodation owners normally provide food.
