Any foreigner seeking entry into the Kingdom of Thailand for any purpose weather it is business, investment, study, medical treatment, mass media, religion, employment and other reasons is required to request for a visa from Thai Embassy or Consulate. Visa fees have been waived by the Host Country Agreement by the Royal Thai Government on Drugs and Crime. The alien must possess a valid passport or travel document recognized by the Royal Thai Government and comply with the conditions set forth in the Immigration Act B.E.2522 (1979) and its related provisions.
Foreign nationals who wish to visit Thailand must have a valid passport and obtain an appropriate visa from nearest Thai Embassy or Consulate. The address and contact numbers of Thai embassies and consulates abroad can be obtained from the Department of Consular Affairs, Visas and Travel Documents Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Tourists from different countries do not need a visa to enter Thailand if their stay does not exceed 30 days. The minimum living expenses per person is 10,000 where as it is 20,000 baht per family. For more information, contact your country's Thai Embassy or Consular Mission in your country of residence, or Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Thailand.
All visas are valid for up to 90 days from the date of issue.
• Transit Visa: 30 days
• Tourist Visa: 60 days
• Non-Immigrant Visa: 90 days
