Sirindhron Museum And Phu Kum Khao Dinosaur Excavation Site

The museum was named by Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn. Siridhorn Is one of the largest dinosaur museum and research center in Southeast asia.

Location

Situated in the foothills of Phu Kum Khao Mountain in Sahatsakhan District, 28 km from Kalasin town

Direction

By car: Take Highway No.227 (Kalasin - Sahatsakhan) for 28 kilometers, come to an intersection two kilometers before Sahatsakhan, turn right and continue for another kilometer

Exhibition of life-sized skeletons of many significant dinosaur species discovered in this area, such as Phuwiangosaurus sirindhornae, Siamosaurus suteethorni and Siamotyrannus I-Sanensis
The museum displaying actual archaeological dig-site, where fossils of six dinosaurs were unearthed from the same bedding-plane

Activities

Visit various exhibition halls on geology, the beginnings of the Earth, its formation and the evolution of living creatures, such as dinosaurs and humans
