Traveling to the Northeast from Bangkok can be done in two directions – First is to take Highway No.1 (Phahonyothin Road), keep left to overpass to Highway No. 305 pass Ongkharak then take Highway No. 33 towards Nakhon Nayok – Prachin Buri, and. second Second is to take Highway No. 1 to Ayuttaya then further to Highway No. 2 and on to Highway No. 23. Daily buses are available to all provinces of the Northeast. Tickets can be purchased at most travel agents or directly at the Bangkok Bus Terminal.
Getting Around Northeast
Traveling within the Northeast can be done in a number of ways. All provinces are linked by bus, train, or minibus which connects all nearby provinces, smaller villages and temples out of towns. However for the visitors who wants to explore more remote sites, renting a care or motorcycle is a good option for them.
