The first independent Thai Kingdom, Sukhothai or the Dawn of Happiness shows its prosperity through its architectures. The superb temples and monuments restored in Sukhothai Historical Park which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Surrounded by forests and mountains, Tak is a city with long history. Its natural wonders are magnificently enhanced by ethnic diversity. It has a long border touching Myanmarand has a strong Burmese influence which is evident in the architectures and temples of Tak . Wat Chumphon Khiri is an imitated Burmese Shwedagon. Magnificent waterfalls and other natural attractions can be found at the Lan Sang National Park and King Taksin The Great National Park.
