Ruins of the royal palaces, Buddhist temples, the city gates, walls, moats, dams, ditches, ponds, canals, and the water dyke control system have been retained and restored by the Department of Fine Arts with the collaboration with UNESCO .Sukhothai Historical Park is one of the finest examples that shows Thailand’s national identity and mankind’s cultural heritage.

Located on the Sukhothai-Tak Highway, Amphoe Muang, Sukhothai

Direction

By car: From Sukhothai town, take Highway No. 12 (Sukhothai-Tak) and drive for 14 kilometers to the park
By minibus/tricycle: Take the local bus or hire the motored tricycle from town to the park
