Situated between the North, the Central and the Northeast region, Phetchabun has abundance of natural resources like waterfall, rivers, lakes and mountains. Khao Kho Mountain with its rolling peaks is among the most famous mountain that is a big draw among the visitors. Phichit
Once part of the Sukhothai and Ayutthaya kingdoms, Phichit has many historical and cultural heritage values which is evident through the old city walls and Wat Phra Si Rattana Mahathat. Wat Tha Luang, on the bank of the Nan River, is popular for setting the Phichit boat races and the festival is held in every September. Phichit is also known as the land of the crocodiles is a home to this ferocious reptile. Visitors can visit the farms of many freshwater crocodiles in the province.
