Sanam Chan Palace is a tiny castle-like structure combined French and English style, with adoptions for the tropical climate. The palace was built by King Rama VI, and has a view of Phra Pathom Chedi.
Location
Near Silapakon University, Amphoe Muang, Nakhon Pathom
Direction
By car: From Bangkok, take Phetchakasem Road (Highway No.4) to Nakhon Pathom. From Nakhon Chaisi Intersection, go straight for 9 kilometers, crossing the highway to Nakhon Pathom town, turn right at the intersection and follow the sign to Sanam Chan Palace
By bus: Take bus, Bangkok – Suphan Buri route, get off at Silapakon University (Nakhon Pathom), and continue by foot for another 400 meters to Sanam Chan Palace
Highlights
Five buildings of each own architectural style and a Ganesh shrine.
Main attractions in the palace area: Phiman Pathom Throne Hall, Samakki Mukkhamat Throne Hall, Charlie Mongkhon Att Palace, Ya-Le Monument, Thewalai Khanet, and Thup Kwan Palace
