The Region
Situated in the center of the country, spreading across the river Chao Phraya The Central region is the heartland of Thailand where Bangkok its capital city is located. The central region is the most fertile farming areas with wide range of landscapes, paddy fields, orchards and vegetation which makes it the rice bowl of the country. Besides filled with natural resources the central region serves as a hub to the cultural and historical places, Royal palaces and ancient temples. On the West The Central region is bordered with Myanmar with forested mountains and waterfalls. The east Coast of Thailand is connected to the border of Cambodia. The 400 km stretched coastlines of the upper Gulf of Thailand present some of the finest and lovely islands in Asia. People who seek solace from busy city life of the city would find these beaches and islands on the Eastern coast as a perfect holiday destination.
The Climate
Thailand has a warm and tropical climate .The Central Plains and Eastern Coast of Thailand experience constant humidity throughout the year .The cooler climate in the northern part of the region enjoys the tropical climate that comes in three diverse seasons – hot season from February to May, rainy season from June to October, and relatively cool season from November to January. The best period to visit Thailand is from November to March, when it is not too hot and is not a rainy and it will spoil the activities at the beach on the East coast.
