A stretch of long white sandy beach dotted with coconut tree and fruit orchards is a common sight on Ko Chang. It is still an untouched gastronomic paradise. The natives have made a living fishing in the beautiful blue seas for centuries.

Situated 315 kilometers away from Bangkok in Trat

Direction

By car: From Bangkok, head eastbound on Bangkok-Chon Buri motorway, exit at Klaeng via Highway No. 344, then take Highway No. 3 towards Chanthaburi, once reach Trat take the ferry from any of the piers to Ko Chang
By bus: Take 4-6 hour bus from either Eastern Bus Terminal or Bangkok Bus Terminal to the Trat Bus Terminal and then continue by minibus to any ferry landings to Ko Chang

Highlights

Sai Khao Beach: the longest and busiest on Ko Chang with the best nightlife on the island, including beach bars, jazz clubs and nightclubs
Klong Prao Beach: a long and white sandy beach which is steeper than Had Sai Khao but it is safe for swimming with the beautiful rocky landscape on the northernmost part of the beach
Kai Bae beach: steep but safe for swimming and suitable for canoes and kayaks
Bang Bao: a fishing village on stilts, which is rich with coral and is a good place to fish, snorkel or swim
