Among the Thai rivers used for rafting, Kaeng Hin Phoeng is the most popular. This river gained its popularity because there are rapids of varying skill levels and the duration of the course’s compact area makes for a perfect day trip.
Location
Originated from the Sai Yai River in the Khao Yai National Park and merged with the Bang Pakong River
The Kaeng Hin Phoeng rafting area, located inside the Khao Yai National Forest near the 9th Ranger Unit
Direction
By car: From Bangkok, take Highway No. 305 to Nakhon Nayok, then take Highway No. 33 to Amphoe Kabinburi, once reaching Ban Sadu turn left towards Sadu-Saphan Hin and continue driving until you reach the 9th Khao Yai National Park Ranger Unit with the total distance of this trip is 68 km.
Highlights
Two-hour outing, covering four and a half kilometers of water, passing sections that range from easy to challenging – from Kaeng Hin Phoeng. Wang Nam Lorn is the most difficult, widest and slowest section of the trip. Wang Khon, a narrower section, and Look Sua is the end of rafting trip and where most rafters beach their rafts
Wang Yao, where the current moves at a very slow pace, providing a safe place to walk in water or enjoy a leisurely swim.
