Chai Nat, on the east bank of the Chao Phraya River, is a home to the Chao Phraya Dam. Built in 1956, it is the first irrigation dam of the country to regulate water supply across the rich Central Plains. The nearby Chai Nat Bird Park is the largest in Asia. It features over 100 species of bird in huge enclosures, complimented by a large aquarium and handicraft shops. Wat Phra Borommathat Worawihan is the oldest and largest temple with a pagoda housing the holy relics.
Chanthaburi
Famous as a center of tropical fruits and gems, the eastern province of Chanthaburi is also blessed with pristine forests and spectacular waterfalls. It was once the center of Thai- French conflict at the height of colonial era. The traces of French influences still remain and observed in the architecture of buildings including the largest Catholic Cathederal in Thailand. The Chanthaburi River flows through the town. Quiet fishing villages
and peaceful beaches are not far away.
Chon Buri
Situated on the Eastern coast of Gulf of Thailand, Chon Buri is 80 km from Bangkok. It boasts abundant of natural resources, delightful beaches, colorful traditions, fine delicacies and fresh seafood. Bang Saray, a fishing village with numerous good seafood restaurants around its dock, is the center of fishing activities.
