Whitewater Rafting: The mountainous areas of Northern and some parts of the Central are the natural venue for whitewater rafting. Rafting of any level requires leadership by experienced guides.
Canoeing and Kayaking: Sea-canoeing expeditions run throughout the year round, although the rainy season from June to October can inhibit operations. Do not set out on a long adventure without a guide.
Windsurfing: this sport is practiced on every major Thailand's beach. Be mindful of tides and weather conditions which change rapidly during the monsoon season.
Jet-skiing: Jet-skis are available on rent at major beaches. Despite its speed, jet-skiing in Thailand is a safe sport, if you keep your head and watch out for other sea traffic.
Wakeboarding: Wakeboarding is fast, exhilarating, fantastic and spectacular sport, and rapidly gaining popularity in Thailand. Boats and boards can be hired at the main beaches of Phuket, Samui and Pattaya.
Rock Climbing: In the southern provinces towering limestone cliffs attract thousands of adventurous rock climbers every year. December to February is the best time to climb.
Mountain biking: Mountain biking is a relatively growing sport in Thailand. Biking routes are primarily in natural parks, but more new routes are being opened up by specialists.
