1st day - Monday
(Zurich - Lucerne - Solothurn - Delémont - Neuchâtel - Murten)
We leave Zurich at 09.00 a.m. A short drive takes us to the city of Lucerne
where we walk over the 14th century wooden bridge, time at leisure and
sightseeing. In the early afternoon we proceed through the farming region
Entlebuch with its typical Swiss farmhouses to direction Jura Mountains. A
narrow and steep mountain road brings us from the city of Solothurn to the
top of mountain Weissenstein. A wonderful sight over the Midlands to the
Alps is awaiting you. Some time at leisure. We follow narrow roads along
green meadows and reach the watch city Delémont in the french
speaking part of Switzerland. Time for shopping. We drive to direction south
and visit the cheese factory and horse breeding at the ancient monastery
Bellelay. Through the green and rural "watch valley" we reach the
city of Saignelégier, which is famous for its horse breeding. A steep
downhill drive brings us through wineyards to Lake Neuchâtel and about
at 7 p.m. we reach the romantic city of Murten set at Lake Murten. Overnight
in a fantastic 4-star Hotel/dinner on your own.

2nd day - Tuesday
(Murten - Berne - Gruyères - Montreux - Castle Chillon - Gstaad)

Enjoy
your breakfast at the seaside of the hotel. A short drive takes us to the
roman excavations at Avenches. Time at leisure. Visiting Bern, the capitol
of Switzerland. The city is attractively set on a steep sided curve of the
river Aare and backed by the majestic Alps. See the Old Clock Tower, famous
Kramgasse and the 15th century Cathedral of St. Vincent or stroll through
the arcades in the old town. A drive south takes us to the scenic dairy
farmlands, to Gruyères in the french speaking part of Switzerland. We
continue through wineyards to Lake Geneva and visit as a highlight of this
day the Chillon Castle, the 13th century fortress made famous by poem of
Lord Byron. We proceed to direction north and pass the spectacular Pillon
Pass before we reach the famous ski-resort of Gstaad in the Bernese Alps.

3rd day Wednesday
(Gstaad - Thun - Grindelwald)
Some time at leisure. We leave Gstaad to direction north. A scenic drive
through green meadows and a fantastic view on Lake Thun is awaiting us. A
breathtaking drive along Lake Thun brings us in the early afternoon to the
holiday-resort of Interlaken at the foot of the Jungfrau mountain and then
to the mountain resort Grindelwald. Relax or join us for an optional drive
to the Railway Station of Jungfraubahn and visit the breathtaking and all
overlooking Jungfrau Joch (bring a warm sweater along). Overnight in
Grindelwald in a first class 4-star Hotel/dinner on your own.
4th day - Thursday
(Grindelwald - Interlaken - Kandersteg - Zermatt)
We leave Grindelwald in the morning and enjoy some time at Interlaken. A
scenic drive along deep blue Lake Brienz. Some time at leisure at the
woodcarver village Brienz and visit of the woodcarver factory JOBIN. Enjoy
the drive through the charming valley to direction Kandersteg. At the
mountain-resort of Kandersteg you have some time at leisure. With the
Car-Railway we pass on a 20 minutes ride through Loetschberg Tunnel to the
Valais in the Valley of the river Rhone. Scenic drive through wineyards and
orchards to the other side of the valley. A winding road leads us through a
small valley to Taesch where we enter the cogwheel train to Zermatt.
Arriving at Zermatt at the foot of mighty Matterhorn in late afternoon.
Overnight at luxury 4-star Hotel/dinner on your own.
5th day - Friday
(Zermatt - Simplon Pass - Verbania (Italy) - Ascona)

After
breakfast the train brings us back to Taesch where our van is waiting.
Through the valley of river Rhone we reach the foot of Simplon Pass that
borders Switzerland with Italy. A good road leads us over spectacular
bridges and along deep valleys to the Hospice on top of the mountain pass.
Time at leisure. On the way to the city of Domodossola we cross the border
into Italy (Italian visa necessary for some nationalities). A short drive
brings us to the romantic shores of lake Maggiore. Re-entering into the
Italian speaking part of Switzerland and arriving at the typical Ticinese
village Ascona in late afternoon. Overnight at first class 4-star
Hotel/Dinner on your own in a ticinese "Grotto".
6th day - Saturday
(Ascona - Lugano - Maloja Pass - St. Moritz - Davos)
We leave the charming village Ascona in the morning and pass the second
lake of the italian speaking part of Switzerland, Lake Lugano. We drive
along the scenic road to Gandria where we cross the border into Italy again.
Along the shores of Lake Como we pass by Menaggio and reach Chiavenna in the
lovely Breggaglia Valley. In Castasegna we re-enter to Switzerland and drive
thirteen hairpin bends over the Maloja Pass. Passing by crystal blue Lake
Sils and Silvaplana we reach the world-renowned mountain resort of St.
Moritz. Time at leisure. We pass by the national park of Switzerland at
Zernez and cross Fluela Pass to reach Davos. Overnight in a first class
4-star Hotel/dinner on your own.
7th day - Sunday
(Davos - Oberalp Pass - Andermatt - Zurich)
Leaving the mountain resort of Davos in the morning. After a drive through
narrow gorges we arrive at the village Disentis set at the foot of Oberalp
Pass. Time at leisure or have a walk to the imposing monastery. A winding
road with some hairpin bends brings us up to Oberalp Pass. Time at leisure.
Enjoy the breathtaking sight over the snowcovered mountain peaks. At the
mountain-resort of Andermatt we drive to direction Furka Pass. Join us on an
optional walk through the glacier of river Rhone into the imposing Ice
Palace. The next pass is Susten Pass where you have breathtaking views on
the glacier of the river Rhone. At about 7 p.m. we will return to Zurich
through a green meadows region with picturesque farmhouses.
A hard winter or heavy snowfall (especially in the months
April/May/June/October) can alter the tour program.
