1st day - Saturday
(Zurich - Schaffhausen (Rhine Fall) - Kreuzlingen - Appenzell)
We leave Zurich at 09.00 a.m. and hide to direction northeast to the canton
of Schaffhausen. Time at leisure at the largest waterfalls in Europe, the
spectacular Rhine Falls. The Cataracts are divided by several rocks; they
are 150 metres wide and 23 metres high. After noon we take the road along
Bodensee, which borders to Germany and Austria. At the city of Kreuzlingen
you have some time at leisure. We leave the shores of the lake to direction
south. Charming farmhouses and meadows are leading us to the romantic city
of Appenzell. Overnight in firsrt class 4-star Hotel/dinner on your own.
2nd day - Sunday
(Appenzell - Saentis - Vaduz - Heidiland - Chur - St. Moritz)

We leave Appenzell in the morning. Time at leisure on Schwaegalp Pass or
join us for an optional monorail to Saentis Mountain (bring a warm sweater
along). Enjoy the fantastic roundview over six countries and visit the
weatherstation or one of the other many attractions. On Schwaegalp we visit
the alp cheese factory. Through the Toggenburg-region and Heidiland with its
picturesque farmhouses we pass by Vaduz, the capital of principality of
Liechtenstein. Some time at leisure. After a drive through the valley of the
river Rhine we reach Chur. We cross Lenzerheide and the spectacular Julier
Pass and arrive at the well-reknowed mountain-resort of St. Moritz.

3rd day - Monday
(St. Moritz and region)
There are a variety of attractions and activities in and around St. Moritz
that your driver knows. Spend the day on your own or join us on optional
sightseeing-tours (Swiss National Parc, Julier Pass, Cogwheel to Parsenn,
etc.). Overnight at St. Moritz/dinner on your own.
4th day - Tuesday
(St. Moritz - Maloja Pass - Como (Italy) - Ascona)
We leave St Moritz in the morning and pass by crystal blue lakes Silvaplana
and Sils. Thirteen hairpin bends bring us down the Maloja Pass and at
Castasegna we enter the border to Italy into the lovely Breggaglia Valley
(Italian visa necessary for some nationalities!). We pass by Chiavenna and
reach the shores of Lake Como. Time at leisure at Como. At Gandria we
re-enter into Switzerland and drive along the scenic road to Lugano. Time at
leisure. On the mountain Pass Ceneri you have a wonderful view over Lake
Maggiore. Arriving in the romantic city of Ascona in the evening. Overnight
at luxury 4-star Villa Hotel/dinner on your own in a ticinese "Grotto".
5th day - Wednesday
(Ascona and region)
There are a variety of attractions and activities in and around Ascona that
your driver knows. Spend the day on your own with a boat trip to Italy or
join us on optional sightseeing-tours (Valley of Maggia and Verzasca, Isle
of Brissago (Italy), Sasso mountain, Locarno, etc.). Overnight at
Ascona/dinner on your own.
6th day - Thursday
(Ascona - Gotthard Pass - Brienz - Interlaken)
After breakfast we leave charming Ascona to direction north and three
breathtaking mountain passes are awaiting us. First we cross the St.
Gotthard Pass on the old road called "Tremola", which was used in
early days by the horsewaggons. Time at leisure and for visiting the museum
on top of mountain St. Gotthard. At Andermatt we hide to direction Furka
Pass. Join us on an optional walk through the Ice Palace in the glacier of
the river Rhone. On Grimsel Pass a sensationel view over the two artificial
Lakes into the valley is awaiting you. To direction Lake Thun we pass by the
woodcarvers village Brienz and reach the mountain-resort of Interlaken in
late afternoon. Overnight at first class 4-star Hotel/dinner on your own.
7th day - Friday
(Interlaken and region)
An enormous variety of attractions and activities in and around Interlaken
is awaiting you. Spend the day on your own with a boat trip on Lake Thun or
Brienz or join us on optional sightseeing-tours (diverse Waterfalls, the
imposing gorge of the river Aare, the Top of Europe - Jungfrau Joch, or
visit the charming mountain village Grindelwald, etc. ). Overnight at
Interlaken/dinner on your own.
8th day - Saturday
(Interlaken - Kandersteg - Zermatt)
We leave Interlaken in the morning and drive along the shores of Lake Thun.
At the village Spiez we turn to direction south. Enjoy the drive through the
charming valley to the mountain-resort of Kandersteg. At Kandersteg you have
some time at leisure. With the car-railway we pass on a 20 minutes ride
through Loetschberg Tunnel to the Valais in the Valley of the river Rhone.
Scenic drive through wineyards and orchards to the other side of the valley.
A winding road leads us through a small valley to Taesch where we enter the
cogwheel train to Zermatt. Arriving at Zermatt at the foot of mighty
Matterhorn in early afternoon. Check-in at luxury 4-star hotel. Time at
leisure and sightseeing on your own (Gornergrat, Rothorn, Little Matterhorn,
etc.). Dinner on your own.
9th day - Sunday
(Zermatt - Chillon - Montreux - Geneva)
After breakfast we take the train to Taesch where our van is waiting. We
drive through the valley of river Rhone and pass by the Chillon Castle, the
13th century fortress made famous by poem of Lord Byron. We reach the shores
of Lake Geneva and you have some time at leisure at the music-city of
Montreux, set at the Lake. Along the shores of the Lake we arrive at Geneva
in early afternoon. We show you the parks along the lake, the old town with
its cathedral, the unique town-hall and the European seat of the United
Nations. Overnight at first class 4-star Hotel/dinner on your own.
10th day - Monday
(Geneva - Yverdon - Murten - Berne (City tour)- Lucerne (City tour)-
Zurich)

We leave the city of Geneva in the morning and drive along the french border
to direction north. At the City of Yverdon we reach Lake Neuchatel. With the
wineyards on your left and the deep blue water of the lake on your right you
pass by small and typical wine-growing villages. Time at leisure at one of
the wine-villages. At the end of the lake we hide to direction Murten which
is surrounded by the walls of the old castle. Visit of the nearby city of
Avenches with its roman excavations. A short drive brings us to the Swiss
capitol city, Berne. The city is attractively set on a steepsided curve of
the river Aare and backed by the majestics Alps. A city tour to the Old Town
includes the Clock Tower, Kramgasse and the 15th century Cathedral of St.
Vincent. A drive north takes us through the scenic dairy farmlands of the
region Entlebuch to the city of Lucerne. You visit the Lion Monument and
walk over the 14th century wooden Chapel Bridge. Some time at leisure. About
at 7 p.m. we reach Zurich.
A hard winter or heavy snowfall (especially in the months of
May/June/October) can alter the tour program.
