Location : Interlaken is located in the canton Bern at the lower end
of the Brienzersee. This enticing city is located in the German-speaking
part of Switzerland.
'Interlaken' literally means "between the lakes" and the city
completely justify its name as it is located between the two enticing lakes,
Thun and Brienz, just below the towering trio of the mountains Eiger, Mönch
& Jungfrau.
Getting There
By Air : The city does not have an airport of its own.Tourists who
arrive by plane at Zürich-Airport can take a train from the railway
station close to the airport. One can purchase a rail-ticket at the airport
and take the train from Zürich-Kloten conveniently to Interlaken
Outstation.

The Höheweg : It covers around 14 hectares (35 acres) in the
middle of town between the two train stations. As one strolls along Höheweg,

The Parish church : The church is adorned with its late Gothic tower

Trümmelbach Falls : The Trümmelbach Falls are the only
glacial falls in the world which have been made accessible deep inside the
mountain, a excellent example of natural beauty at its glory. An underground
funicular featuring the latest technology, which includes all sorts of
tunnels, galleries and bridges makes accessible the 10 glacier-fed
waterfalls inside the mountain. The raging Trümmelbach carries the
waters of the three massive glaciers of Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. It
can carry up to 20,000 litres of water per second.
St. Beatus-Hohlen Caves : One can explore these caves to a depth of
3300 feet and find cascading waterfalls, stalagtites and stalagmites. A cave

Europe offers spectacular interiors to the visitors. The outside walls are
all windows and when you look through them out over the glacier you feel
like you are on top of the world.
