Location : The ski resort of Engelberg is situated at the southern
end of the valley road and rail line from Stans in an enclave of Canton
Obwalden. The place boasts of an excursion to the highest point in central
Switzerland – a station at 3028m, just below the distinctive
crest-of-a-wave summit of the Titlis mountain 3239m high.
Getting There
By Air : The main international airport is Zürich, and
trans-fers are by train or automobile. Driving time from Zürich is
about one-and-a-half hours. If it is possible, one should make a sight
seeing stop in Lucerne along the way.
Getting Around
Local trains, buses and trams are the best ways to get around the city. But

Engelberg is a small place which provides enticing tourist spots and such
attractions that tempt people from all over the world to visit it. A walk
around Engelberg is one for many photo opportunities, just around every
corner there is another view worth taking.
Mt Titlus : It is located in the Swiss Alps next to the town of
Engelberg. The mountain is about 10,000 feet high. To get to the top you
must take a lift called the Rotair. Once at the top, then there is an
amazing view of the alps. There is a provision of sking for the people with
flair for adventure. There is also a restaurant in the lodge to provide with
refreshments.
The Rotair : The Rotair is the ski lift that takes you to the top of
Mt. Titlus. The views from the Rotair are amazing and are one of their kind.
The Rotair is much more spacious than a normal lift, and the windows open
for taking pictures. There are a few stops on the way to the top.
