Day 01
Arrival and transfer to Kandy. Check in at Hilltop / Earl's Regency hotel,
Kandy for lunch. In the afternoon do a city tour of Kandy - the last capital
of the Sri Lankan Kings. The name Kandy conjures visions of a storied past,
splendour, legend, folklore, mystery and traditions lovingly kept alive for
countless years.
Visit
the Kandy Bazaar / market, a Gem lapidary. Also, visit the Botanical Gardens
in Peradeniya, which was originally the pleasure gardens of the Royalty.
Nearly 4000 species of plants are found in this garden and it is encircled
by the Mahaweli River. In the evening visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic
and thereafter witness a cultural show in Kandy. Dinner and overnight stay
at Hilltop /Le Kandyan Hotel / Earl's Regency Hotel, Kandy.
Day 02
After breakfast proceed to Nuwara Eliya via Kitulgala where the famous "Bridge
on the River Kwai" film was made. Also, observe the Water Falls St.
Clare's and Devon. Nuwara Eliya is Sri Lanka's premier hill resort with a
fine bracing mountain climate. Nuwara Eliya is also the heart of Sri Lanka's
tea country producing 50% of the world's best tea. Sri Lanka's highest
mountain Pidurutalagala (8282 ft) is located here. Nuwara Eliya is the
location for one of the finest 18 hole Golf Courses in Asia. Lunch at Galway
Forest Lodge/Tea Factory hotel, Nuwara Eliya. Afternoon at leisure. Dinner
and overnight stay at Galway Forest Lodge/ Tea Factory, Nuwara Eliya.
Day 03
After breakfast proceed to Kandy, enroute visiting a Tea Plantation and a
Factory. Lunch at Hotel Hilltop/ Le Kandyan Hotel/ Earl's Regency Hotel,

Day 04
After breakfast proceed to Colombo, enroute visiting the Elephant Orphanage
in Pinnawela, which is a home to about 60 Elephants found abandoned or
orphaned in the wild. Also, accompany the Elephants to a river close by to
see them having their daily baths. Lunch at a Chinese Restaurant in Colombo.
Check in at hotel. In the evening do a shopping tour. Visit the Ceramics
Corporation Showrooms, Majestic City shopping complex and the ODEL Unlimited
Dress Boutique. Dinner and overnight stay at Grand Oriental / Holiday Inn/
Taj Samudra hotel, Colombo.
Day 05
After breakfast proceed to airport for departure.

Day 02
After breakfast proceed to Sigiriya and climb the Rock Fortress of
Sigiriya, built by King Kasiappa (473 - 491 AD). The lion rock is a citadel
of unusual beauty, rising 200 metres from the scrub jungle. See the world
famous frescoes of the "Heavenly Maidens" of Sigiriya in a
sheltered pocket of the rock. Lunch at Sigiriya Village / Kandalama Hotel.
Evening at leisure. Dinner and overnight stay at Kandalama /Sigiriya
Village.
Day 03
After breakfast proceed to Kandy, enroute visiting the Dambulla Rock
Temple, which was built by King Walagambahu in the 1st century BC. Dambulla
too is a world heritage site and is the most impressive of Sri Lanka's cave
Temples. The complex of five caves with over 2000 sq.mtrs of painted walls
and ceilings is the largest area of paintings found in the world. Also,
visit a Spice Garden in Matale. Lunch at Hill Top / Earl's Regency Hotel,
Kandy. Afternoon at leisure. In the late evening visit the Temple of the

Showroom, Majestic City shopping complex and the ODEL Unlimited Dress
Boutique. Lunch at hotel. After lunch proceed to airport for departure.
