Nainital
Nainital was discovered in 1841 by a Britisher called Lord Barron. The
weather, the surrounding and the mesmerizing beauty of this area attracted
the British administrator who turned this place into the summer capital of
the United Province. Being a major tourist place Nainital is always bustling
with visitors and it is always better if accommodation and other facilities
are prearranged.
Nainital is a tourist hub. People visit here to experience the magnificence
of its attractions that include Naini Lake, Naina Peak, Kilburi, Hanuman
Garhi, Zoo Gardens and Observatory.
Orchha
Orchha's grandeur has been captured in stone, frozen in time; a rich legacy
to the ages. For on this medieval city, the hand of time has rested lightly
and the places and temples built by its Bundela Rulers in the 16th and 17th
centuries retain much of their pristine perfection. Orchha's Fort Complex,
approached by a multi-arched bridge, has three palaces set in an open
quadrangle. The most spectacular of these are Jehangir Mahal, Raj Mahal and
Rai Praveen Mahal.
Nearest railhead is at Jhansi (16 km), on the Mumbai - Delhi and Delhi -
Chennai main lines, All major mail and express trains stop at Jhansi. Orchha
lies on the Jhansi - Khajuraho Road. Regular bus service connect Orchha with
Jhansi
